I’m so excited to share something I get asked about all the time — my go-to snacks! These are the treats I reach for week in, week out. You’ll probably recognise some from the group, but there might be a few new gems too!
If you’re in the group, you already know I live for these. I recently discovered the BBQ flavour in Morrison’s — omg, SO good. I mostly shop at Aldi but if I’m in town or near another supermarket, I’ll pop in to grab bits like these. The sour cream flavour is a fave too. Only 37 calories each, and perfect for my evening snack plate!
I’ve just finished my last pack of the cheese flavour, but honestly, any Pom Bears get a thumbs up from me. There are so many flavours now and they’re usually around 66 calories per bag. A regular in my snack cupboard!
The classic ones are fab, but I’ve also fallen in love with the sweet & spicy flavour (surprisingly, because I don’t usually love spicy things!). The kids are hooked too!
So… I only really started drinking coffee this past year. I’m still not into strong brews, but those little sachets (I get them from B&M — £1.75ish for a box) feel like a cosy mix between coffee and hot chocolate. I use skimmed milk so mine are slightly less than the 83 calories on the pack, but I just log them as is.
Asda Light Caesar Dressing – Only 10 calories per 15ml and honestly, so good. Not watery at all like some others.
M&S Burger Sauce – Listen… I’ve tried all the burger sauces (Heinz, Hellmann’s etc.), and nothing compares to this one. It’s 57 calories per 15ml, so it’s a bit higher, but you only need a tiny bit to get that dreamy burger-in-a-bowl vibe.
Wagon Wheel Jelly Teacakes – Only 66 calories and such a treat! Even Nelly loves them.
Mini Oreo Bags – Great for on-the-go or just when you fancy a nibble.
M&S Oat Biscuits & Mini Treats – The little oat ones are about 20 calories each. Lovely with a cuppa.
When I’m out for my walks, you’ll often see me with these:
Little cakes from M&S – 62 and 55 calories each. Yes, they’re tiny, but perfect to hit that craving and feel satisfied without going overboard.
I know this might look like a pile of “junk” to some people, but honestly? This is what keeps me sane. Having these low-calorie, portion-controlled snacks around means I don’t feel deprived. I look forward to them, and that’s half the battle when you’re trying to stay consistent.
