Hi, I'm Sammi
I Help, Encourage & Inspire People Through Calorie Deficit Hints, Tips & Motivation.Â
Learn How I Lost 11 Stone In 2 Years.Â
It's really amazing to meet you.
Here is a bit of my back story:
I am a mum to 3 young children aged 6, 7 & 8.
I work 2 jobs - Cake maker and Partnerships associate.
Alongside managing an amazing group on Facebook with 200k+ members
So life is bussssyyyyyyyy!!!

In February 2022 I started what feels like my millionth attempt at losing weight once and for all - I have tried all the diets, slimming world, weight watchers, 123 diet, Cambridge diet! You name it over the years I’ve probably tried it!
But something felt different - I felt at rock bottom with how I felt & looked - fed up with all the excuses I used to tell my self, fed up with having to wear awful clothes because it’s the only clothes that would fit me, fed up of feeling so tired , lethargic and unmotivated all the time..
For me wearing nice clothes is something I love!
I love fashion and feeling nice in what I wear is important! I mean don’t get me wrong you will still see me walking around in joggers and a baggy t-shirt a lot lol
So I started in Feb 2022 and I was around 23st 7lb the heaviest I’ve ever been!

So it was a big mission I had in front of me!
I have lost 11 stone since starting in Feb 2022!! Yes 11 stone, it’s absolutely crazy right?
I am 5’8 if anyone is interested as I get asked a bit how tall I am.
I’ve always told my self a 10 stone loss is about where I wanted to be - but wow 10 stone is A LOT!! It’s literally another person!
I went and smashed that out the park..

But that was my number and my starting point - don’t feel ashamed, it is what it is - it doesn’t define who we are as people! It’s just a number !
And I literally took it one meal & one day at a time.
I tried not to think of the end goal, more of the next week, so I took it one week at a time
I weighed on a Sunday so I could have a semi flexi eating day and have a takeaway on a Sunday night ( I don’t do this as much now, hardly ever actually but for the first year or so I did it a lot.. and it worked for me.
Personally I found this has had no impact on my weight loss at all
It’s one meal out of 21 meals over the week so it’s not a massive deal in the grand scheme of things and it’s something I could enjoy when the kids were in bed, after a busy week!
I was on around 2200 calories when I first started, I stayed consistent and the weight came off quickly I was having good losses every week
I got an Apple Watch around March / April 2022 I think to track my steps - I’ve always done a lot of daily steps but I’ve never tracked it!
I tend to do around 10-15k steps every day.. this is a pretty average day! I am on my feet all day especially with the jobs I do.

But if you aren’t I always suggest get fit with Rick on you tube for some fab step videos !
Gradually over time I reduced my calories as I’ve lost but only 200/250 a time nothing to drastic!
Its not about having the lowest calories possible to lose weight, it’s about finding what works for you & your body - over the past couple of years I’ve played around with my calories - I’ve increased them, decreased them - because naturally we come to a standstill , plateau! So it’s finding what works to get things moving again - but don’t be afraid to up your calories as sometimes that’s what does the trick!
I only want to lose another 14 lb ish until I get to where I want to be.. but I will keep pushing
I am still learning and picking up useful tips & information which i will always share!
My mission is to help, encourage & inspire normal everyday people lose weight & improve their lives through calorie deficit hints, tips & motivation.
Therefore my immediate top tips are:
-
Be consistent- track even when you have gone way over your calories
-
Try and move more than you already do
-
Eat the foods you enjoy , just less
-
Nutra check to track your food ( there is other alternative apps ) this is just what I prefer and find the best
-
Aim for 2lts of fluid a day
-
Volume eating - I bulk my meals out with veg or salads to make it look visually more food
-
Weigh everything ( small kitchen scales are perfect) but I always say - you aren’t going to put on weight by eating to much veg
-
You won’t lose weight every single week, I don’t!
-
We are human! Our bodies are not machines!
-
We have hormones, periods, water retention, to much salt , special occasions, days off etc.. so don’t be so hard on your self!
-
Life is for living and to be enjoyed.. you need to find what works for you and stick with it! Stop giving up Because the scales don’t say what you want them too!
-
Just believe that you can do it and stop believing the absolute rubbish & delusional thoughts we tell ourselves!
Believe me I was the worst for it…
I am not saying it will be easy, because it won’t! But my gosh it will be so worth it.
